The Multi-Cultural Committee Wants You!

Waylon Goodwin, Reporter

The Multi-Cultural Committee (MCC) will be having its first meeting of the year on Thursday, September 13, 2012.

The meeting will begin at 11:15 a.m. and will last until 1:00 p.m. It will be held at the College Center, on the SSC campus in room 126.

Club Advisor Maria Gonzalez will be returning for her fourth year and is seeking  more student participation and awareness. “This club is open to all students of all cultures and genders, and we have a deep need for more student participation,” Said Gonzalez at a recent interview.

Last year the MCC had 15-30 members, and is hoping to have even more this year. At the Sept. 13th meeting they will be electing committee officers.  The committee has openings for President, Vice-President, a Treasurer, a Secretary, and a Project Manager.

To join the Multi-Cultural Committee, or to be considered for one of the positions above, students may contact club advisor Maria Gonzalez via telephone at (402) 241-6408, or via email at [email protected].

We welcome back students and staff, and we are looking forward to seeing you in South Sioux City on Sept. 13th for the first NECC Multi-Cultural Committee meeting of the year.

They will be serving pizza too! So come out, have a slice, enjoy, and share your culture.
