Volunteer brunch at the Elkhorn Valley Museum

Kim Taylor, Reporter

Have you been considering volunteering at the Elkhorn Valley Museum (EVM) in Norfolk, NE, or know someone who might enjoy volunteering at EVM? Attend the volunteer brunch on Saturday, October 15th, at 11am.  You can learn about what current volunteers do, talk about their experiences and enjoy coffee, hot chocolate, tea, muffins, and other brunch favorites that will be provided.

The EVM volunteers’ ages range from 8 to 85, and they do a variety of tasks from filling the bird feeders to welcoming visitors at the front desk. They, also, help with inventory of the artifact collections and lend a helping hand at the children’s programs.

The Elkhorn Valley Museum is a private, nonprofit program dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the twenty-two county region in Northeastern Nebraska. Open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm, closed major holidays. Check www.elkhornvalleymuseum.org for more information.
