It’s a new school year and The Viewpoint is officially up and running. There are a few new faces as well as a few old ones. The new commander-in-chief, I mean editor is the fearless, Angela Richart and the faithful second in command is Jackson Miller. Karly Liska is also returning staff from last year along with our comical opinion writer, Joe Lose. New to the college newspaper are reporters, Casey Peters and Darion Hanson, photographer, Seth Johanson, sports reporters, Cole Hein and Dylan Strohl-Yeomans, and social media manager Dylan Arnold.

We have moved from our office in the Ag Allied Health Building down to our new home in Maclay 145. This move brings us closer to the heart of campus and the center of all the action at Northeast. The editors have their own office with an adjacent lab that allows space and technology for students to learn. Now every journalist can learn Photoshop, Indesign, and a variety of video editing programs, which are essential to their future careers.

The Viewpoint is also excited for their collaboration with KHWK. This will allow content to be shared between the two groups to bring together better stories for our audience. There are many projects we have in the making including a Viewpoint Lip Dub and a new TV show called JoeAn featuring Ask Angela and Joe Lose. It’s going to be a fun and exciting year, so don’t miss it!
